Shel's Diary Entries

Diary Navigation:

Asthma

May 7, 2007

My son has asthma. He is well controlled, but the disease still luks in the background -- especially in the spring. He has an allergy to flowering trees. Respiratory illnesses and cold air cause him troubles too.

Right now, we are dealing with a cold, flowering trees and baseball season (read, breathing in the dirt from the field). The past two nights have involved breathing treatments. I started him on daily treatments this morning.

Dealing with asthma, isn't bad. He has only had one ambulance trip so far. Still, I dream of the day when we can say he's outgrown it. It's probably a longshot, though. Shel
